The Recording King Maxwell Series Square Neck Resonator

Recording King

collapse expand iconDescription

The Recording King Maxwell resonator is the perfect instrument for classic bluegrass and slide players looking to take the next step.

The Maxwell delivers true bluegrass tone thanks to our exclusive European hand-spun Recording King spider cone and true sand cast spider bridge.

The mahogany body and parallelogram soundwell help to produce crisp attack with minimal overtones, perfect for cutting through the band mix. Classic butterbean tuners and traditional sunburst gloss finish conjure vintage mojo.

Nice tone. Will get a little fuzzy if you really get on it with heavy pick. Seems to hold tuning well. Only complaint might be high string sits a tad high and the steel sometimes hits it with tip when sliding from lower strings to high. Not a big deal really. Probably poor technique on my part.
