"THIS IS AN AWESOME GUITAR FOR THE MONEY!

THIS IS A WELL THOUGHT OUT GUITAR WITH IT'S "FISH MAN" PICK-UP AND, THE SMALL SIZE IS VERY APPEALING TO ME! I ONLY HAVE ONE GOOD ACOUSTIC GUITAR AND, THIS IS THE ONE FOR MY GUITAR ROOM AND, ONLINE PANDEMIC BAND! IT CAME STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOX ALMOST READY TO PLAY, IT JUST NEEDED A LITTLE BIT OF TUNING! YES, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO MY FRIENDS WHO PLAY THE GUITAR AND, ANY STRINGED INSTRUMENT, THE FINGERBOARD IS AWESOME IN IT'S SET-UP! IT HAS 20 FRETS ON THE KEYBOARD AND, IT IS EXTREMELY LIGHT TO CARRY AND, STORE BUT, I DON'T GIVE IT A CHANCE TO BE STORED BECAUSE IT PLAYS SO WELL AND, CLEARLY! IT'S CONSTRUCTED AT THE NECK JOINT WITH DOVETAIL FITTINGS, VERY NICE DETAILED GUITAR! WELL WORTH THE MONEY IT COST IN MY OPINION AND, MY FRIENDS LIKE IT TOO MUCH, THEY ARE ALWAYS WANTING TO BORROW IT FOR THEIR OWN PLEASURE!

I would not buy this guitar again

Very cool vintage look to this guitar. Was set up perfect out of the box. Nice low action, easy to play and the pickup sounds surprisingly good. Perfect for playing on the couch or small gigs. Unfortunately after only three weeks I heard a loud pop while strumming open chords. The bridge separated from the body and it had a large crack in it. Took it to Guitar Center and exchanged it for a Fender Parlor guitar. The Recording King Dirty 30's 7 series would be an amazing guitar if the build quality was better. I'd love to have another one but from what I've seen a lot of them have some bridge separation right out of the box.

Great travel guitar. The pick-up is hot enough to catch any rhythmic tapping on the body, so that's fun. A volume control would be nice. Might install one.

Not a favorite, tuners are imprecise and feel cheap, was hard to tune, neck felt too chunky in my hand, was not comfortable to play, sound was ok for its size, guitar has good portability, very small and light weight, but I returned it, more cons than pros for me on this one.

  • It buzzes at the twelve fret

I have a cheap lap steel that I bought made by Recording King that is very impressive for the money and sounds amazing for a cheapo but this Dirty 30s thing would need a good luthier to smooth out the fret ends to make it even a decent starter guitar. And that would cost to much. Cmon RK your gonna ruin your own good name puting junk like this out.

This guitar comes with medium to heavy gauge strings. Any brand of acoustic guitar strings would work.

You would plug a 1/4" cable directly in to the pickup to go to an amp.
