    Randall makes Metal amps, so this distortion was a bit new to me in regards to tone. But, it is labeled as CLASSIC Distortion, not Metal distortion. Great for classic rock, wouldn't use it for much more than that. But it is a great product.

    This thing didn't produce what I would consider a metal distortion - it was more like a heavy fuzz kind of tone, like some of the darker settings on a Rat pedal. Adjusting the EQ controls on the pedal weren't able to offset that murkiness.
