Great metal head with amazing low end that sounds great outta the box. The fx loop its an amazing game changer, I tried it with a metal zone followed by an empress Parametric eq and it sure gives you a lot more sound options. Loud enough to disturb the neighbors and to record some great shredding guitar tracks.
I am glad I bought this

This 1 watt amp has great sound quality on the high gain settings. I have not played clean yet, so I can't comment on that. Love the metal setting.
Great bold metal sound

A small tube amp head addict here - also have blackstar ht1h metal, h&k tubemeister 5, jetcity pico valve, egnater tweaker, marshall jvm-1h & dsl-1h. This is one of my favorites in the bunch sound-wise. Replaced the stock tubes with GT-12AX7-R3 and GT-12AU7 ('bout $60 extra). I use it with an ibanez screamer (does not break up enough to play metal even at max gain) into an egnater 112x cab. Sound is sweet mix of warm but bold tube crunch, growling mids, and punching bass - brutal with down and tremolo picking riffs while preserving the definition beautifully. On par with the tweaker (too loud) and the jvm-1h (sounds is too marshall-y) and better than anything else I have. Like mentioned, only minus is you need to push it with some pedal for enough break up. Also, the red glow is actually LEDs inside the box, not the tubes glowing :-)
