    I use this mic. for recording classical guitar in combination with a soundcraft compact 4 mixer and Sony Soundforge. This mic is crystalclear. It is also a very sensitive mic. This makes it an ideal mic for acoustic instruments. You could place the mic in front of an amp, but it isn't suited for that. In that case you should use a shure sm57. The rode is the best affordable mic for acoustic instruments out there.
