It sounds great, for what it is. Let me explain. It's got a 100hz highpass filter on it. My mixer can add that if I wanted it there. The 35hz low point on the frequency response is a bold faced lie. It's down at around -12db compared to 1kHz. I will say it again. It's good to practice with or perform with if your voice is more of a tenor or you don't need a lot of bass present and makes it easy to focus on the mids and highs while practicing. I also wasn't impressed with how cheap everything under the grill looked. Perhaps all the money is in the R&D of the pre-amp and the preamp is world class. If you buy it, get it for what it does well because it isn't versatile enough to be the one good at almost everything mic you really need. Perhaps it suits a particular voice, maybe yours, but you need to work with a mic that has no bass roll off too instead of just muting those frequencies.

Brilliantly crafted condenser microphone... very clear reproduction of vocals... feel really sturdy and professional with an on off toggle switch which again feels smooth... Performance wise its fabulous for its price.... needs slight EQ'in for it to cut through..
