So ive been on a quest to find a good mic for the purpose of vlogging while riding my Hyper Electric Kick Scooter using a fullface helmet with a Gopro hero 10 attached to the helmet and the gopro mic adapter, We all know how hard it is to find a good sounding microphone that won't sound too hot with distortion when you speak into the microphone specially with the short limited space of a fullface helmet. I found that using the Lavalier II with the dead cat in the helmet with the mic being positioned next to your right eye and cheek on the helmet padding but with rhe mic facing you was the best location to get the best audio with the least amount of distortion, obviously the louder you speak, the more distortion you will hear on your vlogg recordings. On my gopro hero 10 i just have the mic settings as Standard mic, none of the other options made the mic sound better, the standard mic setting on the gopro with the Lavalier II connected directly to the gopro were the best option for audio during my testing. I will say that it sounds the best with the wind shield open on the helmet. If you close the shield and talk, your voice will sound completely muffled as if you were talking into a plastic cup. So if you are a motorcycle rider and would like to have clean audio from a company with a great reputation of audio gear, or if you ride Electric kick scooters like me for social media purposes, why not give the Lavalier II a try? The best part about the Lavalier II is that the mic is in one side only and the rear of the mic is completely sealed as well as the top which helps a whole lot wth wind noise without having tonuse that feature on the gopro and having your voice sound like tinfoil. I also tried the Lavalier Go but that didnt work well for this helmet application due to the mic being positioned at the top of the cylinder instead of the side like the Lavalier II. I highly recommend it and i hope you guys get to see my honest review on this wonderful mic. This thing gets a solid 5 stars from me for my unique intended use.
What A Piece of Junk

This is the worst Lab mic I have ever used or purchased. It is PLASTIC construction, it comes with a clip that it doesn't fit into, and the foam cover for it also doesn't fit properly so it constantly falls off, as well as the time it falls off because the mic isn't made to fit the clip they give you with it. Rode spent more money on the case I will never use than they did in the design and technology for this mic. OUTRIGHT AVOID, Rode should be embarrassed as should any merchant who sells it to a customer.
