Sturdy and dependable
Ok, so you're thinking $130 for a monitor stand? Trust me--if you've invested in monitors, you definitely want to spend a little more to get a good stand. I've seen many others that were awfully flimsy--and the last thing I want is my pair of KRK's to drop to the floor. The Quik-Lok stands have been perfect for my setup, and the casters make moving them around nice and easy. Even if you don't think you'll be moving the monitors, you most likely will: a dropped pick, a secretly hidden power strip, a loose USB connection all happen more often than you think. In my tiny studio, space is a premium, and these stands come in handy on a daily basis. They're a cinch to adjust as well. I'd buy these again in a heartbeat if I ever needed to...

It has potential when I get one without any defects.
I'm still trying to get one that isn't flawed. The first one had a crack in the plastic base so I had to return it. I just received my replacement and it has a wobble in the center pole. The first one did roll nice and smooth and didn't wobble. So if I can get one with no cracks in the base and doesn't wobble, this will be an excellent all purpose stand for my studio needs. I'll keep you posted.

Nice unit, easy to setup and has 3 locking wheels. This mixer stand handily holds my old Tascam TM D1000 with its width of 17 1/2" but can expand from 14' to 21". I like it very much for the desktop applications that I use it for as it is at the right height for the desktop. The vertical adjustment is pretty good too. For my desktop applications it is good at its lowest level and at its highest level it's perfect for standing use. However at that greater height I would not use it in a bar setting or where people are roaming around as the unit is not as stable and on uneven flooring it might be difficult to keep it level. The QL-400 also features a tilt setting although the gradient setting is a little course so that may take getting used to. Over all for the capabilities and the price I found that it fit my needs and was a great value.

I have a LaunchControl XL and a LaunchPad Pro on my desktop, and I'm considering moving to a stand like this. Do you think a single stand would accommodate my two controllers side by side (total width about 19.75")? Each controller would be supported on only one side.
The design for it is just for 1 controller so you would need a second stand.submitted7 years ago
