I was a little disappointed when I first received my stand by delivery, and couldn't manage to put it together. Not wanting to take a hammer to it and risk extra damage, I took it back to my local Guitar Center for a refund, went home, and ordered another. Turns out the first stand was defective -- the pegs that hold the tray to the stand were just out-of-place enough that it wouldn't assemble properly. Just got my replacement delivered, and fully assembled in ~60 seconds. Seems sturdy enough, with plenty of room for my 13" laptop and able to hold a utility stand for a mixer below. I plan on using it for recording in my home "studio." Not quite a 5-star item - the initial defective product may be rubbing me the wrong way (obviously I went right home and tried again), but there is also some minor misfit with the foam pads around the tray and the stand doesn't seem super robust. For me, it's exactly what I need, especially as an alternative to the other similar stands that run upwards of $100.

  • Good stage stand
