Description

This speaker package from QSC contains four LA108 powered line array speakers and two KS212C powered subwoofers. An LA108 ground stack adapter, array frame, two LA jumper kits, two subwoofer covers, four speaker totes and five EM5 XLR cables are also included.

LA108 Powered Line Array Speaker

QSC’s LA108 L-Class powered line array speakers deliver extraordinary audio experiences and exceptional performance via system intelligence and premium components. The LA108 is easy to configure and deploy for applications ranging from simple, portable plug-and-play setups, to demanding, networked high-tech AV productions and fixed installations. Solo entertainers, installers and production companies will value its intuitive splay angle adjustment and array optimization, as well as its flexible interoperability with networked audio systems (Dante).

Features include intuitive, single-operator QSC RapidDeploy rigging technology with short, medium and long-throw options, guaranteeing fast deployment without tools or additional hardware. The onboard QSC AWARE (Automatic Wireless Array Recognition) system intelligence communicates essential setup information to the user via any loudspeaker’s Rear User Interface (RUI) or QSC System Navigator App. The AIM (Array Installation Modeling) prediction tool lets the user visualize array coverage by positioning virtual loudspeakers and arrays in a scaled, graphical model of a venue or installation space. Additionally, acoustic Linear Phase (ALP) design provides complementary coherence between QSC loudspeakers deployed in the same audio system delivering a uniform listening experience across the entire venue. The QSC SysNav (System Navigator) app allows the user to easily design, configure, control, monitor and apply signal processing to individual loudspeakers, full arrays or groupings of both.

Network solution includes digital audio-over-IP (Dante) for interoperability with other audio equipment and seamless control and monitoring integration into the Q-SYS Ecosystem via Q-SYS Inventory Extensions.

KS212C Powered Subwoofer

This groundbreaking subwoofer is the world’s first single-box, powered cardioid sub designed for both mobile and installed applications. Powerful and efficient, the QSC KS212C cardioid subwoofer solves the age-old problem of unwanted, wasted low-frequency energy collecting on stage and at the rear of the sound system. This powerhouse enclosure keeps your bass in its place and away from your stage or DJ booth.

Typical subwoofers radiate sound equally in all directions, including behind the enclosure where you don’t need it. Professional sound production companies have been able to combat this problem in recent years with complex, massive arrays of subwoofers in concert settings, changing the usual radial pattern of bass sound into a heart-shaped (cardioid) pattern that projects the lows into the crowd, not on stage. Before the KS212C subwoofer, a cardioid setup was impossible in a mobile setting, much less with a single, portable enclosure. The pounding heartbeat of the KS212C cardioid sub is its potent 3,600W (peak) Class-D amplifier, with the latest in DSP technology, driving two 12", long-excursion drivers for chest-thumping bass. Each driver is arranged in a 6th order bandpass chamber, producing an amazing 15dB more output in front than behind the sub.
