Promark

collapse expand iconDescription

These innovative 5B drum sticks feature an ActiveGrip coating engineered to become more tacky as a drummer's hands sweat and body temperature increases during an energetic set. The rear-weighted hickory sticks provide a balanced feel for finesse and control.

ActiveGrip Technology Activates With Body Heat

Promark's revolutionary ActiveGrip technology applies an ultrathin heat-activated grip solution to the drum sticks. As a drummer's hands warm up and sweat during playing, the ActiveGrip coating gets stickier, preventing slips for a secure grip and full range of motion. Unlike alternative grips that can tear up hands or inhibit technique, the ActiveGrip solution adds no extra diameter or weight.

Balanced Hickory Construction

The Rebound Balance ActiveGrip drum sticks are constructed from hickory, a dense, durable wood that produces a solid rebound and full tone. Promark engineered these 5B sticks with a rear-weighted balance point for enhanced control and finesse. The acorn tip provides a rounded strike surface for warm, articulate cymbal tones.

Performance Ready

Promark designed the Rebound Balance ActiveGrip drum sticks for drummers who demand peak performance. The innovative ActiveGrip solution and balanced hickory construction equip drummers with a responsive, secure playing experience for practice, recording and live shows. Find your drum stick soulmate in the Rebound Balance ActiveGrip model.

Sticks that are truly different.

I've used a lot of different sticks in my years of drumming and never really said to myself, this is a great pair of sticks. I've recommended these and those, what ever brand or size I was playing with at the time, but these are truly different. The balance is different, so they take a little getting used to. They seem to want to play themselves, so less effort is needed to play things like 64th' note single stroke rolls. I have to hold back a little on back-beat rim shots on the snare, because the are very loud, there and on the ride bell. Again I think it's the balance that creates this phenomena. I haven't measured them ,but they feel a little slimmer than the same size stick of another brand. That brings me to the coating. Over the last ten years or so, my grip is getting looser and looser on the sticks and I've been using dipped and tapped and coated sticks, so I end up with sticks in my hands when I get to the end of the song. If you've used them, you know that dip doesn't last to long, and you end up whishing the sticks would break so you can justify changing to a new pair. This coating is the most durable of any I've ever played with. It also works very well. The warmer they gets, and for a lack of a better word, the sticker they feel without really getting sticky. I don't believe I've dropped one yet while playing. Pick up a pair and play with them for a week. Then go back and play with your old sticks. My guess is that your stick bag will be filling up with these Promark, Activegrip, sticks. Oh B.T.W., I think these are, "a great pair of sticks".

The Active Grip peels away at the grip.

I picked up a pair of Active Grip sticks about 6 months ago. I loved the feel but after a few practice sessions the grip started to peel off. I have always used Pro Mark and love their products just think this product needs some tweeking!!

I love the grip that's built-in to the sticks, reducing the need to tape or gloves.

I'm still calibrating keeping relaxed hands without having the sticks fly all over the place all the time. These stay in my hand longer than usual, and have even helped me keep a better grip on slipperier sticks like the Vic Firth classic

  • Nice Sticks!

I play 90-100 shows a year...all with promark active rebound sticks. Love everything about them. I do 3 and 4 hour gigs and they typically last me between 6 and 10 shows. I have been using these for 4 years straight. I have tried other sticks but they have snapped ok 1st or 2cd show and left blisters. These do not

  • They always have a good stock of drumsticks and a competitiv
