Promark

Description

Promark's American hickory drum sticks are meticulously designed to meet the exacting needs of drummers. Constructed from dense, responsive American hickory, these TX747BW drum sticks produce a bold, resonant tone suited for drummers of all styles. Their oval wood tip provides articulation and focus, while the quick taper and forward balance offer rebound and speed.

Dense American Hickory for Resonance and Durability

Promark selects only the highest-quality American hickory for their drum sticks, prized for its density, stiffness and shock-absorbing qualities. This wood transmits vibrations efficiently for maximum resonance and volume. It also withstands the stresses of rigorous playing, resisting chips and cracks. The TX747BW's hickory construction gives drummers the best of both worlds: resonant tone and enduring strength.

Oval Wood Tip for Crisp Articulation

An oval wood tip provides the TX747BW drum sticks with crisp articulation and focused striking power. Its elongated shape concentrates the energy of each stroke on a smaller surface area, resulting in a sharp, penetrating attack. The tip's wood construction also helps produce full-bodied tone with rich, warm overtones. This combination of articulation and resonance gives drummers complete control and expressiveness.

Quick Taper for Speed and Responsiveness

With a short, gradual taper, the TX747BW drum sticks respond instantly to the drummer's strokes. Their tapered design reduces excess weight towards the tip, resulting in a forward balance that requires less effort to wield. Drummers can execute intricate patterns and rapid rolls with speed and precision. The taper also provides enough mass in the shoulder to produce powerful, commanding strikes when required.

A Perfect Fit for Any Genre

Versatile and dynamic, Promark's American hickory drum sticks suit any musical style. Their bold attack cuts through amplified genres like rock, while their resonant tone enhances the acoustic nuances of jazz, funk and R&B. With a range of tip shapes and tapers to choose from, drummers can find the ideal TX747BW sticks to match their needs and express their unique voice.

    great sticks

I've always been a Vic Firth guy, but I decided to try a set of Pro Mark 5B American Hickory. They lasted for over a year with out breaking. I had both of them cracked, but they held together. I usually play rock or heavy metal. These sticks sound awesome for rim shots and they grip awesome. I recently bought another set of 5B Vic Firth sticks and snapped them in half the first week. Go with Pro Mark!

    Pro-Mark American Hickory Drumsticks

I tried these sticks after a recommendation from my friend. Much to my dismay, they were really light and soft, and I usually play harder rock. These broke within the first three days, compared to my usuall Vic Firth sticks, which last me about a month. I tried another pair thinking I just got a bad pair, but those broke after a week so I just think I'll stick to my Vics.

To some degree sticks are sticks, and they will not make the drummer. Promarks fit my hands very well though, and I appreciate any stick with wooden tips. At this point I only use Promarks while drumming and would highly recommend.

Love these drum sticks. Great balance and response. They are also heavy enough to allow you to play lighter in hand while getting enough attack to sound off on drums without wearing yourself out. I've used them for years and don't plan on changing. #sweepstakes

what is the difference in length and width between the 7A and the TX747? Also, why no more TX707 round nylon tip. Been using them for 30 years and am dismayed you no longer carry it.

      Open Reply - Gear-Support
The Promark 747s are about .04" thicker than the Promark 7a and they are 5/8" shorter than the 747s as well. If Promark still makes the TX707 round nylon tip, we can place a Special Order for them.
