works fine, manufacturing quality is not ideal

I use it to hold Strat, acoustic, and classical guitars. Feels sturdier than my old and proven On-Stage XCG4 thanks to longer rear leg (the main advantage of GS2). Other notable differences: - the foam is softer and is safe for nitro finish according to the manufacturer (not sure the same can be said about XCG4); - a thicker upper tube (not important IMO); - lower support arms are longer a little bit, but the distance between them is lower than in my XCG4 (I prefer XCG4 here because the lower bout sits more securely in it). The main and only complain so far is about the manufacturing quality: the upper support arms of my copy are not aligned. Functionality is not affected, but aesthetically it hurts a little bit.

Look closely at the part that holds the body

I don't and won't use this stand. The construction is very flawed — Look closely at the part that holds the body of your guitar where it joins the stand post. The solder job is half-anus'd. the part of the stand the bares the weight is a ticking time bomb for your guitar.. My collectible Tom Delonge 333 was on this stand when it finally snapped loose of the two pitiful solder joins that hold this stand together, and the headstock snapped off when it hit the carpeted floor. The only plus side is proline reimbursed for the repair. The downside was my once collectible and beautiful guitar was forever scarred. I played it, but took great care of it. Hercules or nothing for me.

    Many advantages to this unobtrusive little stand, but most overlooked is what having a stand provides. Studies show, a properly placed stand can increase your guitar playing time by over 300% Get your guitar on a stand and see how much more YOU play! Otherwise, decent stand overall.
