I own 3, buying 3 more. The Nitrocelulose Caveat!
The stands are great, sturdy, and priced to move. The Proline website warns the following, "Foam pads on the stand should not be used with guitars featuring nitrocellulose lacquer." I own a Martin with nitrocellulose finish. It was in the stand for about a year, it never caused any damage to the guitar. --- However, that being said, I spoke to Michael and Tyler at Proline, and they said that there was at least one complaint, and it prompted Proline to install the above warning. I wonder if putting a small plastic patch covered with a small washcloth barrier between the pads and the guitar would help? In any case, there was no clear answer to the anomaly of the mystery complaint. --- Michael (a 13 year employee), said he heard one complaint, and that it was the reason for the website warning. He explained that he hear two explanations: a wear issue, or a chemical reaction, but admitted that the reports are unconfirmed. Tyler explained that he seemed to remember something about the nitrocellulose finish was stained, but this report is also unconfirmed. Tyler's commentary of the stain, and Michael's commentary of chemical reaction could be a point of agreement, but certainly not a cause for alarm. --- With 3 guitar stands in use I have not had any issues except that I need more of them. So, I'm off to the store to purchase another few stands. I think they're great!

Buyer Beware
I picked up a couple if these stands for small compact convenient to carry guitar stands. They were great - for awhile. During a gig I placed my guitar on the stand at break and it dropped straight to the floor. One of the fold out arms the cradle the bottom of the guitar just broke off. The weld just gave out. Needless to say I was disappointed. No fear, I have another one. Must have been a bad weld - a one off. Several weeks later, I was using the second stand I had purchased at the same time, Same scenario, on break, placed my guitar on the stand and it dropped straight to the floor. The weld just broke. These stands are cheaply made and not to be trusted to hold any guitar you don't want to hit the floor. Buyer beware!!!

I perform in all sorts of venues and circumstances. On a big stage when I'm carrying a pedal board, mic stand, stool, amp etc. carrying a full size guitar stand for 1 or 2 guitars is just the way it is. However when I'm meeting up for rehearsal or playing with a small group at temple, I want everything I need in a backpack and this guitar stand fills that need perfectly. I can fit this stand, a compact music stand, my iPad, a page turner pedal and binder comfortably in my backpack with room for snacks and a water bottle.
I've used many guitar stands - this is the best

#sweepstakes I use the foldable A-frame guirtar stand for both my acoustic guitar when performing at church services and for my electric guitar at ome and with friends. It is sturdy, reliable, easy to carry and set up. It's great not to have to worry about the safety of my instruments when my mind is on performance or fun! #sweepstakes
