ProLine Bass guitar tuning machines

Purchased for inexpensive Kent bass restoration. Brass driven gear was like a common 6 string guitar tuner. The anchoring mechanism for the worm gear shaft is only secured on one side to the bottom plate, Under tension ,this allows the worm gear shaft to disengage from the brass driven gear. These tuning machines are "very light duty" I returned them to GC for refund. I would NOT RECOMMEND these to anyone,,,ever!! Im 75 yrs old, been playing a long time.Im not a beginner.
I would change what was ordered

They are decent tuning machines. Very good price and seem to hold pitch, so far. Quality and appearance are what I would expect.
Save money and time !

I agree with all comments. I took apart the tuner and I can see where the tension opened up the saddle (for a better word) where the tuning peg sits. I made a temporary fix by clamping down with a pair of vise grips on the upper and lower portion that holds the tuning peg until I by a better set . With that being said , I would advise to spend a few extra dollars to get ones that work, which is what I am doing after this post. Beware of the Pro Line Bass tuning machines !!!
