collapse expand iconDescription

The Positive Grid Spark GO ultra-portable smart guitar amp ushers in a new era of practice and play. Seamlessly integrated with the Spark app, this pocket-sized powerhouse provides immediate access to amps, pedals, auto chords, Smart Jam mode, and over 50,000 tones in the cloud—all in a unit standing under 4" tall.

Computational Audio Technology Delivers Surprisingly Bold Tone

Don't let Spark GO's diminutive size fool you—under the hood, sophisticated computational audio technology works to produce rich, full-range sound more typical of a much larger amp. Four built-in presets and a massive trove of downloadable patches mean lush cleans, snarling overdrives, ambient reverbs and more are all instantly on tap. An onboard 2" speaker pushes 5 watts of power, filling any room with stunning fidelity.

Practice-Focused Features Make Improving Effortless

Spark GO was designed by musicians for musicians, with practice firmly in mind. Built-in tools like Smart Jam generate AI-based backing tracks in your chosen genre, key and tempo, while Auto Chords provides an onscreen chord chart to help you navigate songs. An onboard tuner keeps your instrument in check, and the audio interface lets you record directly into your favorite DAW. With 10 hours of battery life, feel free to get lost in your craft.

Road-Ready and Built to Last

Weighing in at just over 2 pounds, Spark GO tucks neatly into any gig bag or backpack, ready to accompany you anywhere inspiration may lead. A rugged metal grille protects the speaker, and the included hardshell case adds an extra layer of defense for life on the road. An 1/8" headphone out provides silent practice, while the line out sends your signal direct to a mixer or audio interface. Wherever you roam, Spark GO roars.

Unparalleled Connectivity and Control

The free Spark app places full control over your amp in the palm of your hand. Choose from a massive selection of amps, cabs, mics and effects—including signature gear from world-class artists. Build your own custom presets, change settings in real time and share or download new patches at will. Bluetooth connectivity and the Spark app work together to turn your mobile device into a versatile stompbox, letting you switch between tools without missing a beat.

Explore the App Before You Send It Back

After charging it up and plugging into my acoustic/electric, the preset sounds were horrid. Think Les Paul through a fuzz/distortion unit - then hit a power chord then repeatedly flipping the pickup selector back and forth. Changing presets and volume had no effect. Almost sent it back, then read a review mentioning "noise gate setting" which rang a bell, so installed the app and dialed in presets to more suit an acoustic's clarity. Only so much you can do with a tiny speaker... but not too bad for the equivalent of a transistor radio speaker. Bluetooth in your Airpods to get much better sound quality. The app has an amazing amount of effects/amp sounds available - and access to a large library of songs (perhaps alone worth the purchase price). Have not used all of the capabilities together yet, so can't say how well they all play together - or ease/quality of any recording capability. Haven't looked to see if the Airpod's microphone can be utilized in recording. Perhaps an idea for a future update... So in summary, if you are comfortable enough with the technology to load the app and play with the settings on your phone/tablet - it's worthwhile. If you don't plan to use the app (old school, or just don't want the potential pitfalls that reliance on technology can bring), there are probably better choices.

    Nice Design, Tones are meh

I do like the Spark's general design and I could see it becoming a truly great system. That said, I found it pretty difficult to dial in any really useable edge-of-breakup / bluesy tones. The marshall-y high gain stuff is pretty good, this might be great if you're mostly shredding, especially 80's / hair band style. Beyond that though, the clean and crunchy options are very lackluster in my opinion, pretty muddy sounding and not much better than what you'd get by plugging directly into garageband or something like that. Not even in the same universe as UAFX. Even comparing it to cheaper options, my VOX Amplug unit blows this out of the water as far as producing real amp feel and genuine breakup, its much louder too. I think the algorithms here just need a ton of work. A lot of the fx pedals are not even completely functional... For example- most of the reverbs have MULTIPLE knobs that do absolutely nothing as you adjust them. On a positive note though, its very easy to use overall and one of my favorite interfaces ever for jamming along with Spotify, etc., The tones just didn't do much for me and I'm returning it.

I like how it's so easy to use, just turn on and plug in, it's got four presets to choose from and an app that is also easy to use where you can change amp settings. It's light weight and looks cool. #sweepstakes

This little amp was suggested to me for use while traveling and in confined space. Perfect for me as a truck driver. I can practice / jam in my truck and not disturb everyone around me at truck stops, etc.

This is great and perfect for what i got this for: woodshedding songs I'm learning, working on, compoaitions wherever whenever, keeping my fingers going with an actual sound with little hassle to get up and running. Its great that you can get on the internet and come up with different signal chains and swap out presets in the box. I wouldn't so anything perforated related with this thing, and is a shame any variations depend on the availability of the network and good phobe reception, but that you can do it at all and store them among the 4 preset spots is great. The beefier sounds are fantastic, and being able to pkay along with a bluetoothed in song is great.

Yes, you can plug a pedal into the Spark. I don't know how metal it will sound.

No. It will "produce sound/work" but it won't give you any lows and there is a good chance of blowing up a 2" speaker using a bass. I will have a product specialist contact you with other options.

Not really. It will produce sound but has no low end. If you turn it up, you risk speaker damage.

The GO 5W will "work." It is certainly not designed for the range of a set of drums ( think kick drum) and will not sound very good.
