Great Snare Drum

I have been playing this snare drum almost every day for a year and I still enjoy every minute of it. I auditioned several other snares in GC at the time and this was the only one that sounded 'right' to my ear. This particular drum sounds best at medium and high tunings and is very responsive with great rebound. Depending on your style or mood, play with or without dampening. I play pop, rock, reggae, neo folk and funk and this snare handles all of these styles very well. Life is short, eternity abounds on all sides, why play a mediocre snare during your brief and wild moment of consciousness??? Highly recommend!!!

So far I've played one intense gig with this snare and it sounds great. Cuts great when it's tuned medium/high in the batter head. Came with a temp ambassador coated on it already so I didn't have to replace anything.
Incredible…..

I bought this snare to use with my Tama kit in mahogany burst as it sounds incredible and I prefer a 13" snare for multiple reasons. It sounds phenomenal with plenty of attack and rebound. Beautiful craftsmanship especially for the price! I compared this snare with several top end brands. DW performance, Tama, Ludwig etc….. none of them sounded as good and felt as natural as this snare did. I absolutely love it.

Bought zebrawood rosewood 13x7 snare a week ago. Played it at my church worship service that same night and got some awesome comments. I ain't going back to my pdp birch snare. Thank you Pork Pie 🥁!!!

Very nice drum; finish and quality seems to be top notch. It tunes up very easily and is heavier that I thought it would be (a positive!). I am a bit disappointed with the snare strainer; it seems cheap compared to the rest of the drum. And the bottom 'Porkpie' branded head split when I was tuning it up! So, I replaced with a new Remo (I usually do that anyway) & all is good! Great snare, especially for the price.
Wow! Wow! Wow!

I started playing drums when I was in 7th grade and played through high school. I graduated in 1986 so I have a very heavy 70's and 80's influence. My first kit was a used Ludwig kit with the Ludwig Black Beauty from the 70's. I loved it...I just played my first gig with my band with this snare and wow! is all I can say. I love my BB, but this has a great sound and warmth.
