cheapest machine heads available

I use these to fill my scrap parts bucket. These are the most common machine heads used for beginner guitars, or just plain cheap guitars. It's hard to tune with these. The gear ratios are high, the backlash of the gears is way too much. You'll find yourself going back and forth trying to find that sweet spot where you're in tune. Poor quality tolerances give you the bascklash. Sometimes you can go over a quater of a turn before they start going the other direction. I've seen these on dozens of my "made in China, Indonesia, wherever" guitars Truthfully, I wished these guitars came with out tuners than these junkers, so I didn't have to fill holes when I replace them. Besides difficult to tune, the gears often crack. not a big problem because I have a drawer full of 'em to replace those gears and screws. I you buy these or your guitar came with them, pop the covers, greese them real good and if you're lucky, you'll get a years good use out of 'em. These are throw away machine heads, and aren't meant to last. Works out for people selling these tho. Knowing eventually you'll be replacing them with more expensive better machines. You can order these direct from China, yes that's where they're made, for three dollars and some change a set. There are other cheap Chinese tuners out there that are much better than these. These are the bottom end. On the plus side, they may be better than hammering a dowel threw the post hole, putting a wing nut on the bottom and a hole thru the side of the dowel at the other end and twist away??? PS: If you order these from China, you've got a 50-50 chance of them getting it right. Seems their English may be bad and won't understand what 6 in-line, right hand or left hand model means etc.

Will least tuning pegs work on an Applause model AE 24-1 guitar? If they will not do you have any that will?
These ones don't fit, but email us at YourVoice@GuitarCenter.com and we can help you find a couple different options.
