Phil Jones Bass

collapse expand iconDescription

The Session 77 is remarkably affordable 100W bass combo from PJB. By using all digital circuitry, the amp will work on any AC voltage from 100 to 260 Volts without a voltage selector. It features a single channel pre amp with a 3-band EQ. It also has a separate auxiliary input for backing tracks. The combination of the two proprietary 7 in. speakers and a 2 in. tweeter gives full range reproduction of all basses with stellar clarity. The Session 77 is the result of our effort to build a budget conscious amp without giving up our quest for quality. Focusing on the most basic needs of most bass players, we achieved the goal of having the best sounding, most reliable amp at an unbeatable price.

This PJB Amp is Awesome! The 77 sounds great with my Guild accustic electric jumbo bass , even better with my Ibanez Frettless bass. Even alternative Tuning, drop D etc sounds great . If u play semi hollow body , accustic, frettless basses like I do , this is your next practice Amp !

Got rid of most of my heavy Fender amps (I'm 67), and now use this for my bass and a Phil Jones CUB AG-100 for my electric and acoustic. Life is good!

Very happy with this mighty little combo bass amp. I rid myself of two heavy 2x10" bass amp cabinets and a heavy 300 watt head. It's a pleasure to play through this Phil Jones Session 77 with a plug-in for my iPad to practice. My playing out days are over and I now enjoy playing in my home studio. This handles my Warwick bass nicely open E not a problem. I've been wanting a Phil Jones Bass Amp for sometime now and glad I finally purchased this amp. When you call Musician's Friend they negotiate a nice discount too. Thank you Chris the sales rep you were most helpful.

Electric? How would this amp sound using an electric guitar?
I play bass as well but don't want an app based amp so I'm looking for an amp that will support both bass and electric 🎸. Thanks

" How would this amp sound using an electric guitar?" Not very good. It has a very limiter hi frequency response. This has a hi frequency horn: Markbass MINI CMD 121 P V
