I did some research on a lot of these powered systems, I even heard some of them live, most of them had poor bottom end especially playing songs with heavy bass, they would flutter, after reading up on the Triflex I knew this was the right system for me. Peavey always made great speakers ( Black Widow ) I have owned previous models made by Peavey( FH1 ) they had a strong bottom end with no distortion. The name speaks for it self. The other brands I'm not going to knock, but it is what it is. I only have one flaw with the systen, they should have been made out of plywood instead of ODC, but I have had speakers made with the same ODC back in 1989 and they are still holding up.I have been in the DJ business for 30 years plus so I'm familiar with sound these are a great buy for the price.
