PEAVEY 12M - GREAT MONITOR

I have been a Peavey fan for a over 30 years and this new monitor I bought sounds fantastic. My vocals really come through even with my background midi tracks playing.

Disapointed

These speakers sound good but the horn drivers are very weak. Two horns gave way during a sound check and we were not even up to our normal stage volume at the time! When they worked, they sounded pretty good, but I am disappointed in how little effort it took for these horns to cave. We use QSC GX5s which are rated perfectly for these monitors, so no over or under powering going on. We'll likely buy new horn drivers that can handle the power rather than the stock ones Peavey uses, but if we had it to do all over again, we would have gone Yamaha instead. We are using BR15's for our mains and they sound great!

Eric.. You should over power the speakers.. I guess you were under powering them. If you use the correct power for any speakers, monitors or subwoofers then you should get a great sound. If you were under powering them then you will ruin the speakers. They need 200% more power. I guess peaveys are good I will try to buy 2 of them for our church on our stage. I'm not a big peavey fan but I will try them and see how they sound with our vocal groups and musicians

purchased this product two years ago and use it with my karaoke business,,,,,,,,it is great for the singers to hear themselves and have not ( as of this date) been able to pull full power of this monitor...it takes very little power for a great surround sound with the speakers......I have not been able to pull full power capability of this monitor because I have not worked a big enough venue to properly use my system to max.....but if needed it can do the job with great sound for bands or karaoke business.....works great

  • Great sound!

We purchased these speakers for floor monitors in our church and ended up using them as the house speakers and switching our old ones to the monitors. They sound great. The shipping was super fast!

I have now used these monitor speakers for over six months now and we love them. They are used in a church enviroment. At times we push alot thru them and they sound awesome. Some of the band members prefer them over the expensive jbl's. For the money you cant go wrong. We currently use three of these and you can hear everything from the high, mids, and lows. I highly recomment these.
