Played almost every cheap/expensive acoustic on the wall at GC and this is the one I liked most for the way I play which is usually heavy strumming original rock music. However, it works well for other mellower types of music that I write too. Sounds loud and clear unplugged and also great plugged in. I've played many acoustics in the past that sound like a totally different animal when plugged in and I feel this guitar represents close to the same tone you hear when unplugged. That was a big pro for me. My second choice was the Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat (loved the tone and action) but the fact that all frets pass the twelve were reachable/playable and I wanted a guitar without saddle pins (personal choice) was the reason I chose the Applause. The Applause stays in tune pretty well too considering how heavy handed I tend to play at times. No fret buzz issues here like I read someone else had. I never used to like the ovation type bowl guitars from years ago but definitely glad I gave them a second chance. It actually feels more comfortable to play than I remember. Played a stand up gig a few weeks ago and no problem with uncomfortableness. Looks Great.. Plays Great!

Big Beefy Bass Sound! Great sounding low end bass drum. I added this second bass drum to my kit and think that I need to get rid of the original bass drum and order another Vision Series bass drum. Hardware finish is very nice, looks very slick! Built to last.

This is made in China. I believe most of their drums are made in China.
