    Purchased this drum set for my kid's birthday. As soon as we opened the boxes, it was a wrong color drum set. Called Guitar Center and was told to return the set back to them. After a few days, I was notified that the correct color drum set has arrived at their store. Pick it up, setup the drum set and could not figure out why the bass drum pedal would not sit flat on the floor. After a few tries, I noticed that the pedal had some scratches on it and look used and bent. Took it back to the store and the rep talked to his manager Carlos and tried to give me a no name pedal as a replacement for the defective pedal. I stated that I would like to have Pearl brand pedal, since I've purchased a complete set. The kid told me that I would need to contact Pearl warranty. Pearl warranty is another story! I've registered the product, contacted them via email and in response I was told by Pearl warranty rep that I need to go back to the store where I purchased the drum set and have them contact Pearl sales representative to initiate the warranty process! That is overall my bad experience with Guitar Center and Pearl Corporate office.

    I just recently got back into drumming after about 5-6 years of not playing. I know I haven't properly tuned the drum heads yet, so maybe that's why the sound echoes a lot. I usually put a song on that I know how to play and drum along to it.

    Got back in drumming after decades of not playing, even then I was at a beginner level. I exchanged an Alesis Command Kit for the Roadshow because after trying out the electronic set I decided I wanted an acoustic set. This set comes with everything you need to start playing. I traded my Planet Z's, hi hat stand, bass pedal and throne for some other Pearl hardware. And I bought the Zildjian L80's and Remo silent stroke heads. I couldn't be happier right now. My girl calls my kit "the mistress" because if I'm not spending time with her, or at work, I'm more than likely practicing on my drums.
