    Thought for sure this would fit my 4 year old Pearl hi hat stand. The drum set was bought new from GC and I just bought it off my friend as they never assembled it. The Hi Hat pull rod to clamp the cymbals to was missing, so I ordered this Pearl brand rod which does not fit. The diameter of the rod and threads are too big. So spec details on page so, there's that. Bummed.

    This product WILL fit the Gibraltar 8707 hihat stand (their low profile direct pull hihat). I searched everywhere for a rod that would fit. This rod is 7mm width with 1.0mm threads (definitely not 1/4"-20 like someone else said in the reviews). Rod works great and it great quality.

    I always have a second lower HH just above and inbetween my FT/BD, so I've had to cut a couple of these down to allow myself to move freely about the kit without hitting it. Recently I needed to set up a practice kit, so I needed to raise the hats higher. This 1/4-20 thread fit as expected (a little hope in there) and now I can adjust my hats as necessary.
