AWESOME

This pad feels so real that I took hardly any time to adapt to the feel of my real bass drum. I've also found that my comfortable speed limits for double bass have increased about 40 bpm since I got this (only two weeks!). This is a must have for any drummer, be it somebody looking to tear up the double bass kit or somebody looking to hone in their skills with their single pedal. This is an absolutely wonderful product. I've always shopped Pearl and I've never been let down.

Do not buy this if you have Axis pedals

This is a great practice pad with a very realistic feel that is superior to the gibraltar. However, they were not designed to fit the wider baseplate of the axis pedals and you will have to modify the bd-10 to have the beater hit properly. Otherwise, the beater will hit the pad past the 90 degree mark... This will require adding rubber shims underneath the base of the practice pad and/or using an air powered cut off wheel to remove metal to make adequate clearance.

    I keep this under my desk at home so I can keep practicing my kick rudiments whenever I am on a break. Its very well built and the pad is soft so there is practically no sound. Love this product and would highly recommend. #sweepstakes

    I have tried different bass pads and mesh heads and the pearl definitely feels the best and most realistic. I'm glad I went with this over the DW or Gibraltar. I took down a star because most of the time it rattles everytime you hit it and I find that very annoying. I have all the bolts as tight as they can go, and constantly check them. When it doesn't make a rattling sound it produces a nice low thump that I think is appropriate for a practice pad. I still play it very softly and heal down because It does wobble a bit , I use it with a DW9000 pedal which is as solid as you can get. I think Pearl can make this better. Give it a better base and put some rubber washers on all the bolts or something.

    I use this practice pedal while sitting at my desk and when I'm practicing on my practice pad. It feels great and makes me feel like I am practicing on my actual bass drum. Great for those that need to increase their speed and works great with practicing how to keep time with a metronome.

    Have it hooked up to my spare pedal & practice on it under my desk while I work. Sturdy, has a very nice feel, and a wide enough pad for a double pedal. Would definitely recommend
