Works better than others on PRS guitars

PRS guitars have an eccentric shaped headstock. With my other tuners, I was always searching for the sweet spot to tune up. I'd have to put the tuner on the EAD side for the low strings, then the GBE side for the high ones. Otherwise they just wouldn't get enough signal to register the note. That was annoyingly inconvenient, especially on stage when there might only be a few quick moments to check tuning before the next song. My hope for the PRS tuner was that they were made to fix that problem with the wider base clamp and that seems to be the case. After reading a number of reviews, the first thing I did when I got my PRS tuner was to plug it in and make sure it got a full charge. I then went and tuned up several guitars quickly and easily, in far less time and with less aggravation than moving my old tuner back and forth on the headstocks. The LED style readouts of the different modes took a few minutes to get used to; mode 3 seems the one I prefer right now, rather than the single LED column "needle" modes; not sure yet if I prefer Chromatic or Guitar mode yet but either way, it seems very accurate. I haven't had mine long enough to really assess battery life, but so far I've used it more than half a dozen times to tune up guitars without recharging.

it does not respond to 12 fret harmonics on BASS or GTR mode

WARNING; the tuner is fine but it does not respond to 12 fret harmonics on BASS or GTR mode, ONLY in CHROMATIC mode. It also has a rough time tuning the Low B String on BASS mode. It IS very pretty and fairly accurate AND it goes down to 432Hz in case you work with that A tuning, which is why I had to ditch my TC Electronics one. I have had it for a week now so none of the other symptoms described have come up (low battery charge or the tuner not holding its place in the clip) so far, I hope it holds. My educated guess is that if you need a GOOD tuner you will have to spend quite a bit and get a PRO/RACK mounted unit.

The clip broke because it was made poorly. It's a piece of crap made of plastic and broke after 2 weeks of use.

I've tried a bunch of tuners over the years, but this little guy, the PRS Clip-on Tuner, is a real gem. It's like having a personal guitar tech in your pocket. It's super easy to use, even for a bass newbie like me. The display is clear, the tuning is accurate, and the clip-on design keeps it firmly in place, no matter how wild my bass playing gets. It's like having a little musical sidekick that always keeps you on pitch. I've never been more confident in my bass playing. I highly recommend this tuner to any bassist, from beginner to seasoned pro. It's a must-have for any bass player's arsenal. #sweepstakes

From the three times I used the tuner, it worked great, sadly there was never a fourth. 1st time I used it to test out on my acoustic guitar. 2nd time I used it when I replaced the strings on my guitar to get them tuned and let them stretch. 3rd time I used it to fine tune the guitar after letting the strings chill. Last time I squeezed the clip to place on my guitar head and the plastic clip cracked.

I just play for fun and finally after 35 years, taking lessons. This tuner is awesome. It allows you to tune on the fly quickly and easier than by ear. I'm really enjoying it.

It's about time the rechargeable clip-ons are the same price as the ones that need to have a battery replaced. They work great and I was able to see it, even in daylight.
