i would but this product again

This guitar is awesome! I have never owned an PRS before but I now know why people like them so much. The guitar feels great, is easy to play, and the pick-ups really do sound different. lots of tonality and sustain. The guys at the Ft. Worth Guitar Center are great to do business with too.

Good starter guitar. You will need to do upgrades though

This guitar is great for beginners. I got it to start to learn to play again. It's great when you first start. As your progress as a player though, upgrades have to be done or you will need another guitar. Locking tuners will be your first upgrade and a must. As you play more than 10mins, you will need to keep retunning the guitar. I have had to have mine worked on already due to fretting and the neck bowing only after owning 3 months. I live in the Pacific Northwest but that seems a little fast to me. Otherwise, the guitar is a good starter and would recommend it as just that.

This guitar is outstanding. It is very comfortable to hold. the action was just right. The tone is great and it is very versatile. My only complaint is that the tuners have a hard time handling the whammy bar. It goes out of tune somewhat often.

  • Great build quality and sound

Got this PRS after returning Epiphone muse due to neck dive. The PRS 85/15s pickups were superior IMHO compared to Epi classic pro humbuckers (both coil split). The PRS were much cleaner sounding and not muddy although they take distortion well and the single coil sounds were far better than the Epi. Some might prefer the Epi humbucker sound better if they are playing heavy distorted metal. The PRS weight is around the 7.5 to 8 pound range which is very comfortable to play for extended playing. The craftsmanship is great with the cleanest fret ends of all my guitars (including MIA Fender strat). Volume and tone (coil split) knobs are very easy to rotate, not as much resistance as I prefer, but work fine so far. Translucent blue is almost black except at certain viewing angles when you can see a dark blue (not a concern for me). I would highly recommend this guitar at a great price.

  • So happy with after a few cheapies

This guitar came set up right out of the box. I didn't have to adjust anything but tune it. I tried a few $200 guitars and this for a few hundred dollars more was a hundred times better. Totally happy with this guitar!
