PRS
Description
Vintage-inspired but thoroughly modern, the PRS S2 Vela Semi-Hollow features an elegant, offset body shape with plenty of attitude. The semi-hollow mahogany body makes for warm, inviting sound that still has a rock-and-roll edge. The coil-tapped Vela humbucker in the bridge and Type-D Singlecoil in the neck position bring plenty of tonal versatility to the game. The top-loading, plate-style bridge delivers ample sustain with easy restringing. This one is definitely not a cookie-cutter guitar. Includes deluxe gig bag.

Cosmetic issues from factory since it was never out of the box. Bad scuffing on the pick guard under the protective plastic. Spots on the nitro that were damaged on edges. Plays amazingly. Action is great from factory and intonation was only a little out but adjusts very easily with the 2 saddle setup. All 5 different pick up selections are useful in my opinion. The middle position with the bridge coil split is very good. I hate nitro finish and that's my only complaint about the factory specs and that's just an opinion so I highly recommend this guitar.

First off, I'm not sworn to any brand but, if it has Paul Reed Smith on the headstock it's going to be a quality piece of gear. I've owned several PRS guitars over the years and they are fantastic. The Vela semi-hollow is an excellent playing and sounding guitar! Very light weight (easy on the back) and very resonant sounding. The neck is very comfortable and easy to get around on. Great pickups! Has kind of a telecaster vibe to the sound. I buy and sell guitars a lot, probably too much but, this one is a keeper! It's not a Les Paul, not exactly a tele, it's just kinda it's own thing. I love it! Thanks PRS and Musicians Friend.

  • Plays like a PRS, sounds like a tele

Awesome guitar! If, you like tele sounds and PRS feel. It is a very non traditional PRS guitar. That being said, I love the guitar. Super light weight without sacrificing sustain and tone.

Hi! I already own this guitar but I'm having a hard time finding a hard shell case that fits it properly! Please advise which case works best. Thanks!
