    I've been experimenting with some different strings, and settled on PRS Classic light gauge for some guitars, but wanted to try the mediums, too. Same great tone (lots of complex harmonic content). But I didn't realize the mediums have a wound G, which sounds very different from a plain G. I lowered the G-string pickup bobbin a turn, which got it closer to matching a plain G. The wound G is also a little harder to bend; it doesn't dig into my finger quite as easy. Overall, I'm sticking with these mediums on a couple guitars that I use more for chords and less for soloing.
