I absolutely love the sound of this Djembe. It's deep and meaningful sound is just as gorgeous as the hand carved wood that it's made from. It's pretty heavy to use on long jam sessions without a stand.. but that just makes me all the more determined to strengthen my legs. Sound quality is so worth it.

I have tried various djembes from a couple big name brands, that were OK, but when I heard this I was floored. The tones are richer, almost akin to a good tabla. I am completely satisfied with this and would recommend it without reservation. Go buy this, you won't be disappointed. Also, I considered the larger size, but bought this as it had enough resonant bass for my needs.

  • I would definitely would tell you to get one

I was at the Marietta GA GC last week looking for an inexpensive djembe to use in a local drum circle that gets together twice a month. I was looking at some $49-$89 djembes which sounded good but were missing something. The sales associate (anthony) came over and I asked him which he liked best. He told me that he had personally witnessed djembe groups in Africa and that the "synthetic" djembes just don't have that "it". Then he showed me this one and it was clear that the sound and feel were a cut above. The sales associate was quite knowledgeable about djembes and took about 30 minutes to rope tune the djembe. I took it to the drum circle last week and was so pleased with it! wonderful tones and ease of play. beautiful feel. For a few dollars more than the ones I was looking at, I got this beautiful authentic djembe.

  • Smaller in size, not quality!

Great medium sized djembe, very good workmanship, easy to carry for seniors or youth. Has a quality head that produces good sound, even a decent bass for a smaller version. Recommended.
