You get a little less bass, a strong mid-range, and bright high-end which helps every note stand out in an arrangement. Ovation's "shallow bowl" design combines durable Lyrachord composite construction with a meticulously engineered round-back design to deliver a richly rewarding acoustic experience ideal for stage and studio alike. The 1771VL features a cutaway, and its shallow bowl is extremely durable and maintains the outstanding string-to-string balance of original Ovation designs.
