I started playing on a Hagstrum guitar in the 60s and over the years have owned more then a couple of handfuls of guitars. I recently purchased a Custom Legend, 3 weeks later I was in my local Guitar Center playing around with a $1,500.00 Taylor and an $800.00 Martin then I picked this guitar off the wall and playing it felt more like an extension of me than an instrument in my hands. I knew I had to have this guitar. I know not everybody will like the round synthetic body but the neck, action and sound the 3A spruce top puts out is second to none. Although the Custom Legend due to its electronics has a slight edge when plugged into my Fishman Artist amp the G.C. Signature Legend holds its own and has become my go to guitar. I could have had the Taylor or the Martin but perferred the playability and sound of this guitar over the other two highly regarded name brand guitars. No regrets would make the same choice again. Last note, Ovation ships their guitars with shims under the bridge make sure you READ THE INSTRUCTIONS how to remove and adjust the action, they even explain why they do it.
