Orange Amplifiers

collapse expand iconDescription

Orange Amplifiers brings you the Terror Stamp, a revolutionary compact amp designed with portability and tone in mind. This 20W hybrid beauty houses a 12AX7 preamp tube and solid-state power amp to deliver a fusion of organic tube compression and distortion with the cutting chime of transistor grind. The Terror Stamp offers a lightweight yet full-featured solution for guitarists on the go.

12AX7 Preamp Tube Provides Signature Orange Warmth

At the heart of the Terror Stamp is a genuine 12AX7 preamp tube, the same found in Orange's legendary tube amps. This imparts the saturated tones and responsive feel that have defined Orange's sound for decades. From bluesy cleans to face-melting overdrive, the 12AX7 helps the Terror Stamp achieve a dynamic range and harmonic complexity unmatched by purely solid-state designs.

20 Watts of Solid State Power for Raw Distortion

While the 12AX7 preamp tube shapes the Terror Stamp's tonal character, a 20W solid-state power amp provides the raw power and distortion. This fusion of tube and transistor technologies results in a unique sonic signature with the midrange girth and high-end sparkle of an all-tube amp alongside the aggressive distortion and tight bass of solid-state. With a single volume knob, you can go from a dirty whisper to a screaming roar in mere seconds.

Compact and Pedalboard-Friendly

The Terror Stamp is sized like a standard stompbox so you can easily integrate it into your pedalboard setup. It features a 1/4" input for your guitar, 1/4" output to connect to your cabinet, and a 1/4" headphone/line out with cabinet simulation for silent practice or direct recording.

Great little amp

I was looking for a backup/practice amp for my setup. My main amp is a Orange Rockerverb and I wanted something that has that orange sound to it, but I didn't want to spend alot of money. This little guy for the money is fantastic. It sits right on my board and takes all of the pedals I've used really well. Great fx loop, good tones, can do a number of different sounds. The only issue I seem to have with it is that you have crank the volume up pretty high to get usable cleans, otherwise it's not loud enough for a band mix, but if you're using the gain on tap its plenty loud enough for small gigs and practices. Overall I really recommend it if you need a practice, or back up amp !

Buy a micro dark instead

I played this back to back with a micro terror and a micro dark. It sounded ok, but weal and compressed compared to the other micros. It had no bass response. Its just a gimmick.

I like aggressive "edge of breakup" tones - Fender, Gibson, Gretsch style guitars - and it's a great bedroom/practice amp for me. I also use it as a pre-amp into my live rig...instead of sending output to a speaker cabinet I connect the "send" output of the effects loop into my signal chain and get those "Orange-y sweet" tube powered tones!

I wanted a smaller amp for home use. My Mesa was a 50 watt beast and I did not need that type of wattage at home. I ran across the Terror Stamp at my local GC and decided it was worth the money. I have not been disappointed so far. I love the small footprint of the amp. For the diminutive size of the amp, it is pretty dayum loud, pushing my PRS 12 easily. The effects loop is a nice feature and I have my modulation pedals hooked up nice and neat. Orange has done it again!!! Thanks

Using this as power for an EVH 1x12. I send the tones out of a Zoom G5N into it - I come straight out of it to the EVH cab. In my house, I can't go past 3 on the volume. Tons of power for such a small footprint.

I use the Terror Stamp on my pedalboard for church. We run a silent stage and it sounds great in my in ears. The one tone knob took a little getting used to but it's easy to get dialed in. The effects loop is definitely where you want to put your modulations and reverbs/delays. They really stand out when inserted there.

It depends on it's use. If it's a practice/ small club venue then yes, anything larger than that will still work you would just have to mic your amp.

This hybrid pedal amp would not be compatible with a 4 ohm cabinet.

Is this supposed to be a replacement micro terror or a micro dark? Or is it it's own sound all together?
