Orange Amplifiers
Description
The Orange Amplifiers OBC810 Bass Speaker Cabinet marks the return of the legendary Orange 8x10, originally made in very small numbers during the 1970s. Built from 13-ply high-density birch plywood, the powerful sound that blasts from the OBC810 bass cabinet is as big as the cab looks.

A rear-ported cabinet, the Orange OBC810 is armed with 4 acoustically voiced compartments, adding strength, balance, and deep bass presence. The cab's 4x10" Eminence speakers provide a tight punchy sound. Combined with the classic configuration of 8x10 speakers wired to 4 ohms, and handling a whopping 1200W, the Orange OBC810 bass cab is truly an awe-inspiring cabinet that will drop your jaw with the first thump of your bass guitar. 2 heavy-duty casters help you move the OBC810 to and from gigs.

I've owned an Ampeg 410hlf, 610hlf, and an 810e before this and this easily blows them all out of the water. The cab itself is built very solidly. Even more so than an Ampeg, if you can imagine. Don't let the description on here fool you, it is NOT ported. This is a sealed cabinet with 4 separate 2x10 enclosures much like the ampeg. As such, it has VERY tight lows and great mids. I will say that the Ampeg 810 sounds slightly louder and bigger. The orange however sounds much tighter, more growly in the mids, and has a very vintage type voicing while still having massive low end and volume. The side handles are fantastic for moving it around or hoisting it up into a truck without scraping the cab up as it doesn't have skid rails. The lack of skid rails is somewhat of a disappointment as well as the small tilt wheels on the back. The wheels seem solid, but they're so small that the cab gets stuck on even small ledges and cracks in cement. That's where the side handles come in though provided you have someone to help you move this beast. I ordered this cab in black and it is absolutely the most beautiful bass cab I've ever seen and sounds killer both in standard tuning with my fender p bass through my Ampeg SVT CL and in Drop A# with my musicman stingray HH through my Mesa M9 carbine and sansamp. One last thing I disliked is that it didn't include a slip cover, which I feel is pretty cheap for a cab that costs over 2 grand. I would definitely recommend this cab to anyone who wants a growly and tight bass tone.
