Reactive Load and Transformer-Coupled Attenuation

The Ironman II's reactive load impedance curve matches your speaker's complex impedance, enabling your amp to respond as if connected to a real cabinet. Its transformer-coupled attenuation divides power between your speaker and the reactive load, safeguarding tone at each volume setting. The result is authentic power tube saturation and compression at whisper-quiet levels.

Analog Cabinet Simulation for Recording

An all-analog cabinet simulator provides balanced XLR DI out with speaker emulation for recording or front-of-house use. Select between center or edge microphone placement and ground lift options to match your needs. Compared to digital IRs, the Ironman II's analog circuit achieves a rich, nuanced speaker tone that brings your amp's sound to life in the studio or on stage.

Unparalleled Control and Versatility

The Ironman II grants an unparalleled level of control over your tone. Its dual impedance controls enable you to match your amp and speaker impedances, even if mismatched. An effects loop allows the insertion of pedals between the attenuator and speaker. A presence switch provides -3dB and -6dB treble cut options to compensate for an overly bright amp. An included footswitch toggles between two volume levels for lead boosts. Run the Ironman II as a 100-watt dummy load without a speaker for recording direct or driving another amp. A line-out jack feeds mixing boards, audio interfaces, or power amps.
