VoiceTone H1 - Intelligent Vocal

Description
The TC Helicon VoiceTone H1 pedal brings rich, natural vocal harmonies to your performances with ease. Simply plug in your microphone to start enhancing your voice with professional studio quality harmony effects. The VoiceTone H1 features intelligent processing that listens to your guitar playing and automatically keeps the lush vocal harmonies in tune.
Harmonize in Tune With Guitar Sensing Technology
Never worry about your vocal harmonies going out of tune again thanks to the VoiceTone H1's ingenious guitar sensing abilities. It listens to your guitar playing and shifts the harmony pitch when needed to stay perfectly in tune. For non-guitarists, there is also a key selector so you can choose harmonies that fit the song. This makes performing with harmonies easy, whether you play guitar or not.
Dial in Your Ideal Vocal Harmony
Craft your signature vocal harmony sound by adjusting the voicing and mix to taste. Select from different harmony options to find the perfect accompaniment to your voice. Blend more or less of the harmony into your source vocals with the mix knob. Finding your ideal blend is quick and intuitive.
Built-in Mic Preamp Rivals Studio Quality
The VoiceTone H1 combines a transparent studio quality mic preamp with pristine analog to digital conversion. This gives your voice a clean signal path that preserves the nuances of your vocal tone before adding harmonies. The resulting studio grade sound rivals expensive rack effects units at a fraction of the cost.
Road Ready Design
The durable die cast metal construction and rubberized bottom ensure the VoiceTone H1 will hold up to the rigors of the stage. Simply step on the footswitch to turn harmonies on and off for handsfree control during performances. Enhance your vocals with rich harmonies anywhere your music takes you.

Good Things in Small Packages
Being a solo acoustic guitar act, Iۡve always thrown a little delay and reverb on my vocals. Iۡve looked at harmonizers and even tried a few of the inexpensive ones. I concluded that you need to spend $400+ to get a gig quality productۡ_..Wrong! The H1 produces quality harmonies at a very good price. What they did to keep the price down was to limit the options to 2 voices and only 3rds and 5ths. This limitation also is one of itsۡ strong points. The H1 is simple to use right out of the box. Do you want harmonies above, below, or both? Turn the center dial and play. How much of the harmony do you want to show through? Turn the right knob and play. If you are a guitar player, thatۡs all the setup youۡll ever need. For you vocal only people, you will need to tell it what key youۡre in by setting the left knob. What kind of harmoniesۡ_ country, 50ۡs, darker alternative rock, church, folk. The 7th is not available so you wonۡt get a perfect tone for songs like Johnny B Goode or Your Momma Donۡt Dance. However, if you like the warm harmonies of the Eagles, Beatles, or Everly Brothers this is for you. Itۡs housed in a sturdy metal box. One minor issue is it only runs on 12 volts from a wall wart. Many pedal boards are set up for common 9 volts Another issue will be harmony selection changes between songs. If itۡs being used as a pedal, the change knobs are also sitting on the ground. If you set it up so it can be reached between songs, you canۡt use your foot to turn it on and off. I may need to order my gig song selections to limit the number of changes. Value 5 Stars, Quality 5 Stars, Features 4 Starsۡ_ۡ_ I showed mine to friend. He now has one.

It's ok
The vocal reproduction is alright. Nothing special. The power LED never worked so that leads me to believe that this pedal will develop other problems as we go. If it weren't for this virus thing I would send it back. But under the circumstances it's too much trouble.

I bought this after trying out the same model a friend was using. I needed to know if it works with a keyboard instead of a guitar... and it does. It has very realistic harmonies and is easy to use. Love it.
When it works, it is very realistic harmony.

can this unit be used in minor/major keys, and also in capo usage?..is this a set it and forget it, or must it be re-set after each song?.....or can it be left at the chosen settings and just use those?....tks
You can dial in the major key and if you are looking to use minor key simply use the corresponding major key. This will match the notes of your guitar in the guitar mode so you can use a capo or alternative tuning. This is a set it and forget it. If you need to make changes then you would make the changes manually.submitted7 years ago
