TAMA Dyna-Sync Drum Pedal

TAMA Dyna-Sync Drum Pedal Instruction Manual

Description
Tama's Dyna-Sync double bass drum pedal is designed for drummers seeking an unparalleled combination of speed, power and precision. This innovative pedal features Tama's Dyna-Sync beater and footboard technologies which provide enhanced feel, response and control. The the dual spring assembly delivers a lightweight yet sturdy feel.
Dyna-Sync Beater Technology for Power and Control
The Dyna-Sync beater utilizes a patented multi-layer felt core that produces a full, resonant tone with each stroke. The beater's teardrop-shaped design also provides a larger surface area for consistent, even contact with the bass drum head, enabling drummers to achieve a wide range of sounds from subtle taps to powerful strikes.
Ergonomic Footboard Design for Speed and Precision
The Dyna-Sync footboard's low-profile design places the footboard closer to the floor, reducing fatigue over long playing sessions. Its slip-resistant surface, moderate arch and strategic spacing between the heel plate and footboard provide a comfortable yet responsive feel under the feet. These design elements give drummers the control and finesse to execute intricate bass drum patterns with speed and precision.
Reliable Linkage and Spring Assembly
At the heart of the Dyna-Sync pedal is a durable linkage and spring assembly. Together, these components provide a seamless response, enabling drummers to achieve faster playing speeds with minimal effort.

Great Pedal with a Flaw

The pedal feels natural out of the box and is easy enough to adjust. I prefer this pedal to my DW9000, Iron Cobra, and Yamaha direct drive double pedals. There is however, one significant flaw. One of the screws on the driveshaft connecting to the pedal will not tighten all the way down. Somehow the thread has broken. This is the first time this has happened to any of my dbl bass drum pedals. The drive shaft disconnected during a show. I know it will again at some point, so I have to replace it. This seems sub-standard for one of Tama's flagship pedals.
Excellent geometry!

This pedal can articulate better than any pedal I have ever used. I have played professionally and have used the gamut from a to z when it comes to pedals. DW makes an excellent product, however Tama has blown it out if the water with these pedals! Go buy these pedals!!!
The Best Tama Pedal and better than any of the DW Pedals

The Dyna Sync is the best Tama pedal and better than any of the DWs available (when it comes to the way it feels). It has all the adjustment option you could ever need. Built quality is perfect. The ability to adjust pedal height independent of the beater angle is awesome. Being able to adjust the feel from straight up direct drive to chain drive and in between is awesome. I didn't give this a 5 star for two reasons: One, the beaters could be better. I wish this came with the Speed Cobra beaters. Second, the bass drum clamp is not centered. Its slightly off to the side. Depending on what type of bass drum you're using, this causes the beaters to not hit center . I have the new Alesis Strike kit and this causes one of the beater to hit just slightly where it needs to trigger properly.
I love these pedals
