Description

The SPL VLCS890 Straight Cymbal Stand allows drummers to deliver top performance through unique and innovative features. Its offset, contoured cymbal tilter includes infinite angle adjustments for ease of positioning for all cymbal diameters. Top-tier extends to adjustable heights from 33” to 52”. A collar joint memory lock remembers your perfect height and top-tier angle, ensuring your custom positioning between each teardown and assembly. Its shoulder-to-foot tapered double-braced tripod leg design focuses strength toward the base, providing the ultimate in stability for small and wide footprint setups. Large, open-tread rubber feet absorb downward vibration, keeping energy, resonance and tone characteristic of your cymbal intact.

    For holding cymbal. Even though I have a light splash cymbal mounted, the stand is studded enough to hold larger and heavier crash and ride cymbals.

    This stand is sturdy, adjusts to any conceivable height for a small setup, and is of surprising quality compared to some hardware at a similar price point. I'd consider this an excellent choice on almost any budget, but to be honest, the boom arm version only costs $5 more, can be set up as a straight stand (the boom arm can be recessed into the support pole), but gives you the versatility to use it as a boom arm if so desired. Much as I like this, you get a lot more just hauling out another five spot for the boom arm.

    I have a 16 inch crash cymbal on the stand. Works just great. Easy to adjust. Doesn't move.
