The DW Aux Hi-Hat Attachment does mount on a DW cymbal stand (8mm) by unscrewing the cymbal attachment. This allows better reach and a more stable platform for the remote hihats than a single remote hihat arm.

  • Great product. It was just what I needed.

I've used one to hold a set of 13" hi-hats and now a 14" trash stack, and it worked great for both. It's easy to set up and adjust, whether you want a tight sound or a washy one. As a boom clamp it may suffer some long-term stability issues, but I'm thus far surprised at how solid it is. The only issue I've found is that the tightness will loosen over time, but this isn't really a major thing because it's easy enough to screw back down and it's not going to be noticeable during the course of a gig.

It works great for what I'm using it for, too have and extra hi hat on my right side so I don't have to play cross over.

  • Sturdy and simple. Doesn't like really heavy hats

Works well keeps the hats open but the Spring could be a little stiffer. overall still functions as intended . I added an extra felt under the spring so the top hat would stay open. I have heavy hats but when I used my lighter ones it was perfect. Overall I like it
