Description
The Sony C-80 dual-diaphragm, uni-directional condenser microphone delivers high-fidelity, ultraclear concentration on the source sound. A two-part, metallic body structure—derived from the high-end Sony C-800G tube condenser and C-100 high-resolution condenser—provides excellent acoustic isolation by rejecting vibrations from the recording environment and other instruments. The result is a completely focused and transparent picture of whatever you are miking. In addition, the dual-diaphragm cardioid minimizes proximity effect—you won’t have to worry about over-enthusiastic vocalists or podcasters “eating” the mic—and reduces unwanted bass frequencies.

Features
- Dual-diaphragm cardioid condenser
- Low-noise construction prevents acoustic vibration
- Low-cut filter and –10dB pad switches
- Includes shockmount and carrying case

This microphone was much smaller than expected but sounds great. I was disappointed in the cheap plastic shock mount included with such a nice mic. I've gotten better shock mounts with much cheaper mics.
