GLX-D+ Dual Band Digital Wireless Featuring Nita Strauss | Shure

How To Link a Secondary GLX-D+ Transmitter

Description
When it comes to wireless, Shure has long been at the forefront, developing reliable, transparent systems that deliver stellar performance at prices musicians love. The Shure GLXD16+/guitar pedal builds on the success of its counterpart in the GLXD series, adding new Dual Band capacity, with more than double the available bandwidth. This makes it easier to find a clear channel, even when your band or venue is running multiple units. Simple, worry-free setup and management gets the curtain up on time. Smart, flexible charging options and a high-capacity lithium-ion battery give you from 12–17 hours of performance time (depending on band), so the show can run long. But, let’s look a little closer at what makes up this flexible wireless system.
Shure Dual Band Technology
Key to the GLXD+ series is Shure’s Dual Band Wireless System. By expanding the available frequency range from just the 2.4GHz band to encompass the 5.8GHz band as well, the total bandwidth is increased almost 250%. With all this extra bandwidth, the Shure GLXD+ wireless systems can easily find available channels to work in—especially in the less-crowded, more lightly used 5.8GHz band. So, running multiple units is much less complicated. Add in Shure’s smart pairing and smart frequency management, and you’re up and running quickly with no fuss. The system will even automatically choose backup frequencies and seamlessly switch to them if interference crops up in the middle of the show.
The GLXD1+ Body Pack
The GLXD16+ guitar pedal system uses the same body pack transmitter as the D14+ lavalier and headset configurations. The system comes with a premium 1/4" TS to mini-XLR cable for easy connection from your instrument to the bodypack. The high-capacity, rechargeable lithium-ion battery features a flexible smart system that can charge from a variety of sources and includes quick-charge capability. With 12–17 hours of runtime per charge—depending on which band the system is using—you’re ready for a production of Wagner’s Ring Cycle, a day-long seminar or an extended jam band improvisational set.
Convenient Pedalboard Receiver
The Shure GLXD16+ Guitar Pedal receiver is designed to occupy a compact space on your pedalboard while delivering huge performance. With rugged metal construction and compatibility with standard pedalboard power supplies that can deliver at least 400mA of current, it’s easy to incorporate transparent digital wireless into your system. With a 1/4" input available, you don’t have to recable your rig if you need to run wired for a show and the built-in tuner adds a final level of convenience.
Combining the clarity of digital audio, the flexibility of Dual Band technology, smart frequency management and Shure’s legendary microphones, a GLXD16+/Guitar Pedal wireless system is a no-brainer, whether you’re setting up your own pedalboard or taking the whole band wireless. Click to buy one here, or visit your local Guitar Center store to get hands-on.

awesome wireless guitar
i saw this product at the 2023 namm show and the guy demoing the product from shure walked into a crowd of people about 150 feet away and you could still hear him playing clear as a bell so i bought one from Guitar Center the next day, since ive bought it two weeks ago, this is incredible i have no noise which my cable had a slight buzz this wireless unit has no interference going room to room in my house and sounds great, ill share a trick i bought a couple extra pedal power cords and 4ft guitar cable and i leave them at the amp in my bedroom, living room and at my studio so ill i have to do is put it in my bag and bring the shure unit and the battery/connection cable with me. its that easy simple setup and ease of use this thing is awesome and worth the money, i was using a pair of xvive wireless guitar units previously they do well but this shure system blows the xvives out of the water and makes you feel and sound like a pro now all i need is 2.4ghz headphones and be free of wires

Not worth the money.
I returned this unit after three weeks. For a player like me that plays hard rock/metal guitar, I was very disappointed. I play Ibanez RG guitars with high output DiMarzio humbuckers and this unit made my guitars sound like a weak strat. I did everything I could from switching channels to increasing the gain and nothing worked. I lost half of my gain and tone. And, this is not the first unit like this I've had that did exactly the same thing. It's the digital frequency that these modern units use. I just tried an old Samson unit in the MHz range and it worked nearly perfectly. Wireless companies need to get a grip and start testing their units more rigorously to make sure they work as advertised.

I use this for daily practice and gigging. It's great works well. But when the rechargeable battery died it was a three month wait to get another. Not acceptable. Before you buy shure products consider you may not be able to get shure replacement parts, cables, batteries in any sort of reasonable time frame. Great products. Appalling product support.

Used it on 3 gigs so far, works great. Each time I pressed on Channel button to find the best channel and never had any interference issues after. Expensive but worth it.
Game changer!

I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday. Now he doesn't have to worry about the cord being stepped on and the guitar crashing down when does his "toss his guitar in the air" trick while performing.

Essential part of my pedalboard. Having a built-in tuner eliminates the need for any of those clip-on tuners!! I play mostly theatres and larger outdoor venues, and this wireless gives me all the freedom I could ask for!! Highly recommended!!!
awesome design and works perfectly everytime.

When searching for wireless units I immediately searched for one by Shure because I know they make some of the best in the world. This one fits perfectly in my pedalboard and is powered directly off my pedalboard 9v power. It's even got a tuner! Have not had any dropouts. Battery life is fantastic.

I need a new charging cable
Shure SBC10-902: is what Shure recommends but any high-quality USB-A to Micro-USB cable can also work .
