Shure BLX288/PG58 dual wireless system

I have always used Shure mikes and this system continues the Shure legacy! I use the dual wireless system for karaoke. I feel very confident with these mikes, especially knowing that many of the singers aren't that "experienced" in handling mikes. I also have a single wireless system for my own DJ use.

Pay extra for SLXD, this product isn't worth it

We have a small church and this item is suppose to work within 100m (300 ft) line of sight. Starts cutting off at about 40/45 ft (not meters). Anything like even your hand can interrupt the signal so you have to be very particular about how you hold it.

We purchased the Harbinger MLS 1000 as an alternative to our bigger system. We loved it so much, we ended up trading in the big system for another MLS 1000 and Shure wireless mics. We couldn't be happier!

  • I would buy this product again.

This product is very good with its ability and the distance/range from the receiver a person maybe allowed. It works very well with my set and I have had the experience to use it in multple invironments and the unit preformed very well. In fact, there have not be any issues with the unit.

We have a large church. About 10-15 church benches straight back and 3 rows wide with a small-ish balcony. Which is where I run sound from also. Do these mics have the range to cover tht distance.

The BLX series from Shure is rated for about 300 feet (line of sight) in ideal conditions. Even if you're in the balcony (so maybe a little less "perfect" line of sight), as long as you're not more than about 100–150 feet from the transmitters (and it sounds like you're probably closer than that, even counting the balcony height), you should be fine.

The only time that matters is if you're already running a set of these and if you're looking to run a second one, otherwise it will be fine.
