Every strap but one has broken. The zipper is awful. This case sucks.

I just bought a Dean Vendetta guitar for my 7-year-old son (2nd hand) and couldn't find a case for it other than a hard shell - I wanted something light enough for him to carry to his lessons. I was worried that the shape of the head stock of the guitar might not fit into this case (seems slightly longer than others) but it fits perfectly. I also like that it has a storage compartment on the inside which is great for his whammy bar and picks. I just wish the outside pocket was large enough to fit his folder and sheet music.

Just got this case. Very impressed with it, more than I expected. It really is just like a hard case more than a soft shell or heavily padded gig back. You can push down on the closed case and it doesn't give at all; feels like it is made of wood or something that would give it a sturdy shape. I expected it to be more of a very thickly and study padded gig bag that holds its shape very well. Seriously though, it feels like the guitar is in a hard case. This is a good thing, I'm very pleased. Quality as a whole seems great and can easily see this working for road use, even heavy road use if you're mildly careful. It's larger in depth than many hard shell cases I've had (except the high end, made for travel skb molded cases) but is much shorter and less wide than those cases. With the contour shape it takes up much less space than a rectangular shaped case. Great pockets on the outside as well with smaller zipper pockets and a couple of velcro pockets in side them. You can definitely load this up with just about all you'd need. Only problem is I can BARELY fit my G&L Comanche in it. If the head stock of your guitar is not a smaller one (like the one the show in the picture or that of a Suhr for example) you may have problems. But not just that, the body barely squeezes into this thing as well, so that the top cutaway closest to you when you're playing has to really be pushed in. I didn't expect this from a "Universal" case. This guitar is a typical strat guitar, although perhaps on the larger size of those types, but they should really specify how this is built to be snug. I can squeeze the guitar in and close it, so I will keep the case, but it's cutting it VERY close.

I bought this case for an American Special Strat because I was disappointed with the "deluxe" gig bag that it came with. This was exactly what I wanted. The bag has some of the properties of a case but the convenience of a gig bag. I like the pockets and the weight of the bag and it has been a dream to carry into my gigs and jam sessions. The case is not perfect but at this price point it serves my needs very well. I would like to have straps that can be tucked away, a bigger storage compartment in the front, and the bag is actually not universal (it the company redefined "universal" for this bag). I would not use this for a les paul and actually, I have a les paul that I would never put in this case and it has its own hard case. SKB actually does make a bag like this one for LP style guitars. Overall, this bag was well worth the money and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a good bag for non-LP guitars. If you plan on beating the bag up however, I would look for something in a hard case.

This is a great case I use for my Strat and I'd recommend it highly. I would have given it five stars but I had to close all of the Zipper pulls with pliers as one of them pulled off but that just took a few seconds. Guitar Center is a great company to deal with too.
