Say goodbye to angry neighbors, this kit is perfect for your late-night practice sessions. If you're looking to improve your drumming skills, the combination of onboard coach functions and the ability to connect to Melodics drum training software will help level up your technique in no time. The easy-to-use module includes a variety of realistic drum kits, connected to Roland’s double-mesh pads for snare and toms. The included pads use two layers of mesh material for realistic drum kit response, just like your favorite acoustic kit. Pick up the sticks, take a deep breath and pull up to the TD-1DMKX.

For Beginners—Jump Right In

The TD-1DMKX is easy to set up and intuitive to use so you can get playing right away. Just connect the power, your headphones or monitor speakers, and switch it on. Roland makes it easy to start playing with an authentic-sounding collection of drums and your choice of 15 preset kits, for a realistic and engaging drumming experience. If you're looking to drum up your skills, onboard coach functions and Melodics for V-Drums software will help you learn your rudiments and quickly start climbing the ladder. Weighing just 15 pounds, the TD-1DMKX is easy to move around wherever you set up, so whether you're playing solo or want to perform for your friends and family, the TD-1DMKX is ready to take the show on the road.

Parents—Support Your Child's Musical Journey

When learning a musical instrument, you also learn life-long lessons. While your children will learn about discipline and determination through the art of practice, the sheer enjoyment they'll get when playing the TD-1DMKX is priceless. The TD-1 module's onboard metronome and 10 coach functions will teach your child timing skills and create a foundation for a lifetime of musical creativity. The game-like experience of the coaching functions ensures every session is fun and engaging. Melodics for V-Drums, a free application for Windows or Mac computers, also provides a series of free drum lessons that help develop a sense of rhythm without it seeming like hard work.

The TD-1DMKX's pads are quieter than other electronic drums, so your child can practice all the time, any time. From double-mesh heads to a kick drum pad that absorbs the impact of a beater, all Roland V-Drums are built to have realistic "rebound" and feel. The TD-1DMKX can continuously support your child as they develop the concentration, patience and techniques that come through regular practice.

For Students—You're Off And Running

Whether you want to be a rockstar or you just want to develop solid drumming skills, the TD-1DMKX helps you get there by supporting the techniques learned in the classroom. The TD-1DMKX faithfully responds to the subtle nuances of your playing and faithfully reproduces them thanks to the fast processing and realistic acoustic sounds of the Roland TD-1 module. Just like an acoustic kit, the double-mesh heads for the snare and toms can be tension-adjusted to offer stronger "rebound" compared with drums that have single-mesh heads, giving your kit a natural feel that’s as close as possible to the feel of playing acoustic drum heads. For flexibility and personal preference, the TD-1DMKX is compatible with your choice of kick pedal, including double-kick pedals. The soft rubber pad absorbs the energy from the beater too, for a natural, faithful rebound and quieter performance.

Falling In Love Again

If you haven't sat down at the kit in a while, the TD-1MKX delivers realistic feel to bring drums back into your life, whether you're brushing up your skills or picking up where you left off. Tap into the onboard songs or connect your smartphone to the module and play along to your favorite tracks, the TD-1DMKX will make practicing fun and easy while you smooth out those rough edges. This durable kit is infused with legendary V-Drums reliability too, so you can play with confidence for years to come. Your TD-1DMKX can grow with you as well, with the option to add additional cymbals and its upgradable sound module, you can get back on beat and start playing drums again with the Roland TD-1DMKX.

The Perfect Place to Start

Was looking for something small, quiet and affordable to start with before I committed to a larger area and more expensive kit. This kit is perfect! It has everything I, as a new drummer, needed, including the additional crash cymbal for when I'm working on the right side of the set! I compared this against all the other basic beginner sets and this one won out for a few reasons: 1. Quality and durability: This kit will last for long time without defect! Every reviewer says it. When I spoke with GC and other music store employees they all said they get the fewest returns and problems with Roland. 2. Upgradability: Roland makes their stuff entirely cross compatible... So I can upgrade whatever piece or part I want (module, pad, cymbal, etc.) and they'll continue to work with a minor change in the settings. I also love the acoustic feel to the mesh pads (not common on entry level kits with the other high quality manufacturer -Yamaha). I am not sure how into drumming I will go, but the mesh heads on this kit are similar to the feel and response of an acoustic kit. Everything was easy to set up... step by step instructions were excellent. Well made and easy to set up! About me: I'm mainly a guitar player who's often heard that to improve timing and rhythm you should play drums. So, as I enjoy playing various instruments I figured this was a natural step, and Guitareo sent me an invitation to do the 30 Day Drummer program with Drumeo. Great way to begin ;)

Something is wrong

I like the sounds. But I don't know if I am dumb or something is wrong with the set. The other cymbals ring even when I don't hit on them. I changed the sensitivity of every piece, tried to fixate the cords. I just don't understand what's wrong and how do I prevent that. Overall I am disappointed as I wouldn't expect such fundamental problems with a well-known brand.

Purchased the Alesis Nitro and returned it. Instead, i got this which was on sale for $400-ish. The feel and playability is superb. High quality components. For the price, you'll get the standard brain which has 15 presets from rock to reggae. Preset 2 is my favorite for general practice. Highly recommended for beginners like me.

I've had 2 other electric drumsets that are considered higher quality, and this set is the best! These pads feel so good and the sounds are great! Eventually, I will choose a VST to get more sounds, but for now loving the classic Roland kits in this gem!

Hi! I need to know the dimensions and weight of the drum set, as I'm considering purchasing it and traveling with it. It's crucial for me to know the dimensions and weight of the drum set in its compact form, whether it can be carried in a luggage

    Open Reply - Gear-Advisor
The most compact way would be to transport them in the original box. That box should be put in a hard case. You will need to break the set down and pack it exactly the way it arrived. The box dimensions are ---------- 22 x 19 x 37 inches. 65 lbs. I don't think anything 37" is suitable for luggage. That's baggage. You can find FAA / airline regulation on line.

You probably just need the adapter to take it from 1/8" to 1/4"

Can you add cymbals (pads) and toms (pads) to this? Bluetooth connectivity? Can u use your own pedals with this?

    Open Reply - Ronald
You can use your own bass pedal, the hi-hat has it's own pedal array. You can add 1 cymbal and 1 tom but there is no bluetooth connectivity.
