Roland

Description

The well-built Roland DP-10 damper pedal has a real-pedal feel and comes with a non-slip rubber plate—essential when performing on hardwood or slip-prone surfaces—and a 7.2' cable for stacked multi-keyboard setups. It is compatible with half-damper capable keyboards, and it can also serve as a standard pedal switch (for sustain, etc).

Does the job

Used in stand-up keyboard performance. This design does the job! No slipping pedal, even on smooth gym floors. Also used at home for amateur recording. The swivel pad comes in handy, because when sitting for hours at the keyboard it's nice to change foot position once in a while. My one concern is one that I've had with many keyboard pedals over the years: the electrical cord comes straight out of the back of it with nothing to prevent it wearing or fraying inside after consistent gigging. My solution does work, however--lots of carefully trimmed Gorilla tape! This reinforcement helps pedals to last a lot longer than their apparently planned obsolescence.

Pedal does not work. At all.

I've plugged in the hew pedal to our new FP-60x piano. I've inserted the jack into all three pedal ports, went through every single function (sustain, bend, etc) and it does not work in any capacity.

It's the good old DP-10. Perfectly reliable. The bottom is excellent: it's stable and doesn't slide on the floor. Note that some Roland digital pianos come with it, so you don't always need to buy one separately. #sweepstakes

This pedal has never let me down. I've owned this pedal for nearly 15 years and I'm here to purchase another for a second keyboard I'm adding to my rig. The original pedal still works like it should after all these years and I'd be scared to know how many times it's been "pressed" at practices and at shows after all these years. I don't like to give reviews after a week or a month or even a year, because I can't necessarily attest to durability or reliability of a product, but after nearly 15 years, I can clearly say this was a well made purchase!

  • I would buy this again

I've used this model before at church and got tired of my original damper pedal slipping out from under my foot while playing. This should make playing more enjoyable by not having to constantly search where the pedal has slipped to.

  • Upgraded design is super

Upgraded to the new design. The swings-out rubber strip sits under my heel and keeps the pedal from squeezing out forward on my hardwood floor. Super!
