Road Runner

Description

The Road Runner RR5TEG Highway Series bag provides class-leading protection and storage for your electric guitar. Whether it’s a cross-town gig or a cross-country tour, the Highway Series’ rugged durability and thoughtful design protects against the inevitable mishaps while on the road.

A heavy-duty outer lining resists scratches, tears and scuffs during transport and storage. Inside, you’ll find deluxe, 20 mm foam throughout that completely surrounds and protects your guitar. Thick foam adds even more padding, while structured, internal corrugated boards front and back provide top-drawer impact protection, similar to hard cases.

A secure neck rest ensures further instrument stability, and internal abrasion-resistant patches prevent guitar hardware from damaging the lining.

Its fashion-forward design includes a textured, quilted top and back, along with contrasting red stitching throughout, all in a sleek trapezoidal shape, creating a dramatic, eye-catching statement even before you start playing. A unique double-lid design delivers ample storage space for laptops, books and accessories without excessive bulk. Plus, an ergonomic, padded handle and stowaway backpack straps make travel easier even when carrying amps and other gear at the same time.

This thing is an insane value. In my opinion/experience, it's a Mono killer. The protection level is excellent, with a really nice plus on the inside and a neckrest (which is amazing for this kind of thing). I bought it for the storage and the straps: the entire top of the thing is a pocket, and then there are other pockets inside there. There's two little slots for markers/pens, but I use them for two shubb capos (they fit perfectly) and the pocket next to it for a slide. The rest of the pockets are dealer's choice, so depending on how you like to organize things you have a bunch of options. I can also comfortably fit a folding guitar stand (the little Guitto branded one) in there. The straps are sturdy and swivel, so you don't have the thing where they get twisted and eventually stay that way, and that also makes it much faster/easier to unclip them and tuck them in the pocket if you don't want to use them. The biggest and best thing, though, is that this thing will stand up on it's own on a floor, even fully loaded with a bunch of junk in the pockets and a guitar. It's insane.

The double lid is a great feature. There's a corrugated plastic layer between the outer pocket and inner area to better protect the guitar. The handles and straps are all great. Everything about this bag is solid and 1st class.

So I bought a guitar that didn't fit well inside of it so I ended up having to buy a case that was fitted for my guitar but I really wanted to keep it very well padded built well if your guitar fits in it and it will fully a lot from Les Paul's to SG to strays and teles and more looks big enough to fit a dreadnot I would check first but like I said if it for I would still have it

Most of the hard cases for electrics are quite heavy and of much inferior quality in the last 30 years. I have a Fender Mustang that sits in this very decent gig bag. Like all gig bags the only drawback is that the guitar tuners are easily displaced. Many times that leads to being out of tune after removing the guitar from the gig bag.

Will it fit a Gibson ES-339?

    Open Reply - Gear-Support
Unfortunately, no. The Road Runner RR5TEG Highway Premium Electric Guitar Gig Bag is designed to fit most standard electric guitars—especially solid-body styles like Stratocasters, Telecasters, and Les Pauls. The Gibson ES-339, however, is a semi-hollowbody guitar that’s slightly smaller than a traditional ES-335 but still larger and thicker than a typical solid-body guitar.

    Will a Gretsch Streamliner fit?

    Open Reply - Gear-Support
The Gretsch Streamliner (like the G2622 or G2655 models) should generally fit in a Road Runner RR5TEG case if it's one of the smaller semi-hollow or center block models.
