I bought this as a "beater" mandolin to keep sitting around the house. Out of the box, it plays and sounds good for the price. The setup was OK, but could have been better. I will have to put some work into it.

My mother asked for a mandolin for Mother's Day. I tried it out and it plays extremely well. My mother, who hasn't played an instrument since she was younger than I am now, has taken to it like a duck to water.
