Back in July of 2001, Real McCoy Custom released their version of a blueprinted original ’60’s Italian Picture Wah, with the grit and growl of the original and without the headaches of the original. Inside, you’ll find free-standing Switchcraft jacks, a heavy-duty true-bypass on/off switch, double-clad circuit board, low noise inductor, rugged RMC ROC-POT with taper/resonance toggle switch and tight tolerance componentry. No mojo parts, just mojo sound.

Housed in a traditional lightweight aluminum case with black base and chrome rocker pedal, The Real McCoy RMC4 Picture Wah effects pedal includes licensed fuzz-friendly circuitry, true bypass, easily adjustable rocker tension, AC adapter jack, RFI filtering, and is covered by a limited one-year warranty.

    My RMC wah has had 2 issues, both needing to be professionally repaired twice: -Dry solders for input jack and pot; required re-soldering. -Switch had to be re-soldered. To give some perspective, I have over 50 pedals, owned for over 10 years. I have never had an issue with any other pedal, yet I have had 2 separate issues with my RMC wah. The professional repairer says the problem for both issues was 'poor soldering during manufacture'. I emailed RMC and was told the warranty is 1 year; I had to cover the expense for both repair bills. Was disappointing for such an expensive pedal. The sound is OK, but not necessarily better than my Vox V847 for 1/5th of the price.

    Great sounding ! So amazing with fuzz and stacked overdrive! I never review anything and if I have to help anyone to "add to cart" just stop reading this and do it. Great company great pedal! Teese! RMC4 kicks!

    This is the only modern wah that has satisfied me in trying to have an alternate and backup to my vintage'67-'68 Vox. It has a usable range heel to toe and does not get those ugly, overly muted, bassy useless sounds at heel down, like the reissue voxes and dunlop wahs I've bought and sold. Those all seem to hit a strange harmonic that makes a nasty, muddy note that buries what you're playing at the middle point and towards heel down. I've had the dual inductor mxr, cae wah and tried adjusting the pot gear on all of those wahs, doesn't help. Right away this rmc had clarity, great range without being too bassy n deep or too shrill. It leans more to the vintage side, good mids n highs, not super bassy like the metal/modern wahs. I first had the rmc 10, didn't love it, prefer this one. It's a great wah.

    The two things I look for in a wah pedal are a balanced sweep and clear expression of the tonality change. This pedal is a bullseye. Not too much not too little it's just perfect. This pedal truly puts the competition to shame.

    Best wah you can buy. I've owned a few and tried more than a few. Hands down the best.
