Randall

Description

The Randall RG1503 150W 2x12" solid-state combo offers mind-blowing power for live use, but has an auxiliary input and headphone jack so you don't have to change amps for practice or recording at home.

The ruggedly built combo features three footswitchable channels - Clean, Gain and Gain 2 - that share a four-band EQ (including bass boost and mid-scoop switches), spring-reverb control and master volume. The clean channel has a built-in bright switch to change the voicing to add extra high frequencies. Around the back lies an external speaker output, speaker-emulated XLR output with ground lift and FX loop.

It pushes the massive 150W of power through an angled Randall 2x12" cabinet loaded with a pair of Randall custom-voiced speakers, and it comes with included casters.

Just played one of these in store, then found a great deal on GC online and got it. Pros: If you want tube amp distortion that's reliable, stable with no tubes and less weight, this is your amp. Face melting, thick, chest thumping distortion that holds together; and 3 channels it. Clean Channel: It's ironic, but listen to cemetery gates, that's what you'll get for cleans. This is not an ultra smooth blues amp or anywhere near it. Cons: There's not a ton of features (I like it that way). Single EQ for all channels. It's basically the same as what you'd get on any tube amp. Plug in and jam LOUD! Very very loud.

Crazy powerful. I love this amp. The master volume allows great sounds at low volume for practice and for massive sound to play with the hardest hitting drummers. All the gain I'll ever need. Built like a tank.

This combo amp is a beast! It's 2 high gain channels are the best out there! The amp is so much fun to play through-harmonics literally fly from your fingertips on ch. 2 or ch. 3. Channel 1 (the clean channel) sounds really good and is more than capable of having some extra brightness with a touch of the button if you need it. The reverb is killer on this amp. Built like a tank, high quality casters, a 3 channel footswitch, aux input & massive gain at your fingertips plus a clean channel make this amp impossible to beat. Rock on, Randall!

This combo when used correctly will melt your balls. If you metal and or hard rock or like to move some air and feel what you are playing this is for you For this price this is one of the best amps I own and gig with. Of course This is only my opinion but...I'm in love. I run an mxr 6 band and a zuol gate in front of it. It is noisy but...high gain equals noise.

I would recommend reaching out to Randall and see if there's a local authorized repair facility that can give it a look at. It may be a broken connection.
