Too much too put. The sound is amazing. A lot of people say oh not enough gain what in the world do they want? I play every thing from rock to metal core and have no complaints. I literally don't have to put the gain past 1-2 o'clock. But experimenting at full gain it's dirty, and brutal but still has clarity in what you're playing. I play through celestion gt 12's and it's awesome. The boost is great really pushes the amp just right. The cleans by far is a whole different thing from what I expected. This thing is so clean it could make anyone critic of cleans shocked. For all around go for it I went from playing Metalcore to old school country and had no issues. Other reviews I've seen make me wonder and think some people just find stuff to complain about. This thing holds the fortin soul in it and trust me when I say the cleans are wonderful.
5 Star Distortion Tone Monster!!!

The RD20H paired with a Vintage 30 212 and a Gibson Les Paul Studio has a huge biting distortion that is hard to match. Is this amp a 1 trick pony? So far yes, but it is beyond awesome at it!!! Note: I have not played with the FX loop yet. Maybe with some reverb, eq, and a little delay the clean channel could be usable. But out of the box, expect this amp be your designated dirty distortion monster. The YouTube link is to the video on that convinced me to make this purchase. 5 Stars Randall!!!

Go to channel 2, set gain to about 2oclock, bass at 12, mids about 9oclock, treble and presence about 4oclock... its TIME for METAL!!!! I also use an pro tone overdrive pedal in front of it. No drive, just for enhanced picking and no flub.

I'm very happy with this amp, it's got a good chunky tone on the overdrive channel and got me the tone I was looking for. The clean channel always sounds a little aggressive with the gain but I didn't buy it to play clean! The master is just a little touch you if you're playing at home, I haven't tried cranking it yet but paired with my Mesa 2x12 this would probably do fine over drums jamming. You could probably run this without getting mic'd up for a small gig too. I threw a tubescreamer on and it's perfect but with the built in boost it's still good enough to run without additional effects.

Is there a typo in the type of type that this amp has? The Randall website says this model has 6v6 but the description says 6L6
This amp does come with 6L6 tubes.
