Open Box Radial Engineering ProAV2 Stereo Direct Box Level 1

Description
To eliminate the need for various adaptor, a "Swiss Army" array of connections are provided, including 1/4" for instruments, RCA and 1/8" connectors for consumer electronics and computers, and a +4dB XLR input for professional systems. Front panel connectors can also be used as thru-puts to allow multiple patch points.
Custom wound transformers are employed, which are able to withstand exceptionally hot levels while maintaining linearity from 20Hz to 18.5kHz. The resulting smooth Bessel curve is warm and natural, making the ProAV2 Passive DI box particularly adept at handling digital sources that can sound harsh. Transformer isolation adds the benefit of eliminating ground loops that cause audio hum and buzz and video hum bars or snow.

I've been using Radial boxes for quite a while now. My first box was an AV1 which I've used for everything from matching the line output of a remote mixer to a house mic input to plugging in my acoustic guitar on Sundays at Church. They are solid, reliable, quiet, pro-grade equipment that can hold their own in ANY sound application. The only issue I had with using the AV-1 was that it combined low level stereo inputs into mono for output to the mic send. So when it came time to re-rack many of my monitor system components to provide music at my Son's engagement party I went looking for a way to drive my system with stereo inputs from an I-Pod and I remembered the "other" Radial Box that I had looked at a while back, the AV-2. The AV-2 has 2 of everything, a true stereo box that will drive the mic inputs of my Mackie and leave the other -10 db A.V. open for other stuff, (like additional I-Pods, CD players or tuners). Just the thing for this engagement. But, when I went looking, no one had one in stock. Enter Guitar Center, When the other guys hemmed and hawed about "special ordering" and AV-2, the guys at Guitar Center got right on the computer, found stock and made arrangements for 2 day delivery, just in time for the party! Thanks Radial & Guitar Center!!!!
